Only 22, the Assam-born artist, shuaharty is taking Farookh: Ek Khoj – The Tour 2026 across India, riding on the momentum of his latest release. With 14 conceptual tracks, his sophomore mixtape Farookh has been his biggest project yet. At its centre is its namesake, a character shauharty has carried with him for years before finally turning him into a full-fledged project. Dee En
Bringing dream pop, psych rock and synth textures among other influences, DEE EN are a Delhi-formed, Goa-based indie band who are known for their constantly evolving musical sensibility. The band features Saurav Debnath on vocals and guitar, Aditya Kapoor on vocals, guitar and synths, Ashrey Goel on vocals, bass and keys and Yuvaan Makar on drums. Over six years, DEE EN have progressed from the dreamy atmospheres of their debut EPs to the sharper synth world of their most recent EP, Saturn Return. More about them here.
Ro Maiti
Ro Maiti, aka Rohini, grew up on jazz evenings and a self-directed relationship with art that never settled on one medium. That restlessness eventually found its anchor in music, where fifteen-odd years of teaching herself have shaped a sound she now calls her own: pop’s simplicity colliding with jazz scales and alternative treatment, ethereal and modern at once. Her new single, Daytime, released under Nyima Records, marks the start of that next chapter, an early experiment in the digitized sound she’s now building toward. It also marks her first time on a label, after years of making music purely for herself. With Femme Music’s Nyima imprint behind her, an album is on the way, and Ro describes the mood as moody, sad and ready to scream and shout. More about Rohini here.
Aditya Hulo
Indie singer-songwriter Aditya Majumdar, AKA Hulo, has been turning heartbreak, anxiety and the messier parts of growing up into acoustic folk, alternative rock and blues. His debut album Griefcase grew out of his years as an immigrant student, carrying ‘a suitcase with unpacked clothes and slices of my previous life that I refused to place in my new one’. His music digs into doubts and difficult days, but they also hold room for humour, hope and the strange little joys of being alive. Read more about his story here.
Sunset on the Cliff
After their higher studies in 2019, musicians Pritish Gandhi and Shaival Davda were on a Goa trip when a hotel receptionist pointed them towards a cliff behind an old fort, where they could watch the sunset. When Shaival repeated the name for Pritish to note down, they looked at each other and they just knew. By 2022, Sunset on the Cliff had officially begun as a Mumbai-based indie singer-songwriter duo. Since then, their guitar-led alternative rock music has opened up to synths and electronic textures while keeping its melodic, nostalgic heart intact. Swara Oza
Swara Oza is a singer from Rajkot who basically invented her own genre called G-pop, mixing Gujarati lyrics with pop, R&B, and techno. She's only 24 and already has like 30 tracks out, all made with her mom, who composes and produces everything. Her song, Temperature High is what really put her on the map.
Himanshu Chavan
Pune has a new voice, and it’s one worth stopping everything for. Himanshu Chavan is a country boy with a guitar and a lot to say. His debut EP, Land of the Free carries the weight of a life lived through loss. He lost his city. He lost his mother. But somewhere in that unravelling, he found himself, and he found music. The five songs on the EP are the ones that carried him through his darkest years, comfort songs he kept returning to. When we sat down with the record, an hour disappeared before we noticed.
