Surround Sound—The Kundalini Highway:

Imagine entering a vacuity zone satiated with vibrations sliding up your spine through all the flesh and bones into the brain nerves. A space with healing powers leaning towards divinity. Sattyananda’s The Deep Space Meditation aspires to take the listener to the journey of experiencing the true inner self. The experimental electronic music fabricated to provide an immersive path explores the energy centers in the body, the chakras, and is crafted precisely to resonate to specific sound and harmonies. While meditation itself can take a couple of years to master, meditative healing by sound is achieved through creating an environment solely for the purpose to explore spaces hidden deep inside.5.1 Surround Sound lets the listener achieve multi-dimensional intimacy with oneself, designed with a deep understanding of sound and space.

Nikhel Mahajan, also known as Sattyananda, strives to express himself through alternative music for the greater good. This year, he celebrates 10 years in the industry as a musician, an artist and an entrepreneur. His recent show Surround Sound—The Kundalini Highway moved beyond the ordinary to attain profound peace and expanded awareness. He explains it in his own words.

With 5.1 Surround Sound, you celebrate 10 years in the electronic music industry in India. How has the journey been so far?
It's been an interesting journey filled with a range of different experiences and emotions. The idea for me as an artist has always been about pushing myself to explore what technology has to offer and to be able to express all the various ideas and emotions I experience in my daily existence. Hence the 5.1 Surround Sound showcase was a great way to celebrate 10 years.
It is the first showcase of its kind in the industry and a start of something new. I personally believe that with the access that digital technology offers an artist in today's day and age, the playing field is very open and vast making it possible to create anything. I hope more and more people explore this space and create new experiences, I truly believe that the Indian mind with this tech can create some beautiful things.

Enlighten us with your style of music.
Indian Spiritual Electronica is the closest we could get to when simplifying it down to three words.

What inspirations and experiences have shaped you and your music?
I guess it is just really always staying true to do what I want to do.
