Fine art gallery KYNKYNY opens a new space in the heart of Bengaluru on Infantry Road, offering audiences a chance to engage first-hand with its curation of established and emerging artists from across the country. Celebrating eighteen years since its inception, KYNKYNY continues to champion contemporary artists through insightfully curated exhibitions alongside an active programme of online exhibitions on kynkyny.com. KYNKYNY’s newly inaugurated space opened with a group exhibition Avatar, that showcased 26 artists from its roster. The paintings and sculpture represent the artistic range and distinctive perspective that KYNKYNY represents,spotlighting mixed media works. KYNKYNY is unique in its hierarchy-defying approach to showcasing notable names alongside upcoming talent, thereby ensuring young artists receive the recognition they deserve.
KYNKYNY’s unique curation and distinctive perspective focuses on exceptional talent and brings them on a platform to reach new audiences. The layout of the gallery has been revived to give each artwork dedicated viewing space. Specialised gallery lighting has been designed to accentuate the art while creating a soothing ambience for the audience. Digital tablets offer visitors the opportunity to experience museum-like audio tours of each show, narrated by gallery owner Vivek Radhakrishnan, and accompanied with additional digital visual material. Moreover, a roster of art films in the adjacent screening room will allow audiences deeper insight into the lives and practices of KYNKYNY artists. KYNKYNY will continue to offer a slate of online programming in addition to a roster of group and solo exhibitions at the gallery.
