As international electronic music festival DGTL returned to India after a hiatus of two years, it brought together a power packed lineup that didn’t disappoint. The two editions of DGTL 2022 spanned across the cities of Delhi and Mumbai for two days each, featuring four stages, and an array of electronic subgenres. Some prominent names included electronic maestro Solomun, Maribou State, spfdj, Tijana T, and local talents like BLOT!, sickflip, Anyasa, and many more.
Alongside DGTL’s strong lineup, they also introduced London-based heavyweight Boiler Room with their own stage and lineup, which featured East Africa’s vibrant Kampire with her percussion heavy sounds, Serbia’s Tijana T who played an acid-infused techno set, Cinthie on the vinyl with classic house, and more. Across all the stages, it was clear that DGTL put together an electronic mosaic — the lineups were inclusive, with sounds from all across the globe, and their especially strong female talents.
DGTL also proactively confirmed their ongoing efforts to bring sustainability to the global festival landscape. Their initiatives to remain mindful of their environmental impact included their partnership with SKRAP, a waste management solutions company, which recycles all the waste generated at the festival. Additionally, DGTL implemented a no paper cup policy and partnered with Cupable to use their recyclable and reusable cups instead. Finally, there was no non-vegetarian food at the festival, delivering the message of food and energy consumption, along with resource management to all festival attendees.
