The Magnetic Fields Creative Barter has been a festival tradition since year one, wherein they invite people to submit ideas and proposals for activities or installations that will encourage engagement and interaction between festival attendees, in exchange for free festival passes and tent pitches.
It is an idea that has grown stronger every year, with ideas like stargazing, installations, roaming haiku poets, yoga workshops coming from attendees. At the previous year’s edition, they had beautiful installations like Mirari, Bead & Thread based around traditional ancient board games, Toko Mehendi, and many more.
The theme for
the
2017
edition
is Laws of Attraction, exploring the fine and beautiful line between philosophy and science apparent with the laws of attraction, and centred on the hypothesis that we are all connected.
All one has to do to apply is design either a spectacular costume – think headgear, wigs, masks, accessories – or come up with a concept that is in line with the theme of the festival – laws of attraction.
Applications opened on September 1 and will close on October 1. To enter, interested applicants should submit their entry with visual references and details here. http://bit.ly/2eUoRDC.
