Tenpy

Arsh Bansal, an architect from Bangalore, and the founder of Tenpy, brings you sustainable, tiny living. Growing up in Mussoorie, Bansal states, gave him an added appreciationfor a “minimalistic life surrounded by nature”. Having grown up in this “bubble of nature” only led him to grow fonder and fonder of the basic and sustainable way of life as he grew older. With Tenpy, people have the opportunity to live in one of the uniquely crafted tiny homes they have across Bangalore, that encourage you to focus on yourself and get back to the basics. The allure of the tiny homes is that they focus on bringing together smaller groups, such as families, couples, or even you and your pets, in order to “disconnect to reconnect”. Immersed in the wild, with each home being approximately 90 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you get to experience the Indian flora and fauna at their finest.

While each home comes with its own kitchenette, locally prepared food is also an option. This getaway experience is truly DIY, as one can make of it what they choose. Travellers can opt to sit by the “big picture windows” and spend their days reading, or explore their surrounding by bird watching, taking a hike, or visiting neighbouring water bodies. An exciting element of the tiny homes is that they are each named after renowned authors or books. A popular tiny home choice is Rusty, named after Ruskin Bond’s book, Rusty Runs Away. This pet-friendly, sustainable, and minimalistic holiday experience is the perfect choice for those looking to escape the noise of the city and losing themselves in the natural beauty of our country.
