The Winter Edit 2021:‘A still life’ is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate objects, typically commonplace, which are either natural or man-made. It is a form of art which has survived more than a 1000 years and is probably the most aesthetic way to document the mundane objects of everyday life.
Legendary artists have claimed over centuries that painting still life relaxed them, because it was devoid of the pressure of imagination and that it was purely observational and in turn meditative. With the Winter Edit, AMPM aimed to capture the Winter Wardrobe as still life. By visualizing their creations as objects of the everyday, concentrating purely on form, structure and details and not on anything which will deviate from the feeling of stillness.
