20 YEARS SPECIAL EDITION

Founded as a print magazine in 2005, Platform was conceived with the sole aim to present and celebrate artists from all genres of creativity. Today, Platform has evolved into a creative playground that not only brings out a bi-annual bookazine, but also applauds the masters in diverse creative genres and promotes emerging talent alike through digital zines, social media, collaborations and real-time engagement. The most beautiful aspect of the arts is that each genre tells stories in their own format, structure and interpretation. Part of our job is to interact with the creative industry, have important conversations and ultimately invite the reader with the hope that we engage, enlighten and inspire. In the past twenty years, we have had the joy of interacting with countless inspiring talents and masters. From award-winning artists across genres to debutants who have now become leaders
of their craft, each conversation left us more inspired and driven. Their engaging stories, unrelenting passion and fabulous artistry always made the interview so engaging and valuable.


Since the very beginning, our curatorial process has been extremely focused on telling stories that last a lifetime, experiences that leave you enthused and a journey that imparts knowledge. Each issue that we have produced deepens the relationships we have developed not only with the various artists, but with contributors as well, over the years. We have always wanted for our readers to immerse themselves in the stories we tell. This limited-edition book to celebrate 20 Years of Platform is a small yet significant culmination of all the interactions we have had in the past two decades. It was extremely difficult to shortlist 20 from the diverse and rich repertoire of dialogues. Therefore, this is just a small part, an essence of the archives to fuel imagination and provide you with the tools for
creative thought while we continue to champion the arts in all their glory.
