Biopics have been ruling the box office lately, with Elvis, Bohemian Rhapsody and Oppenheimer captivating audiences with their stories of legendary figures. If you are a fan of these cinematic tributes, there are a few must watch-movies that brought idols to life on the big screen. And there are more coming your way in 2024.
Maestro
Maestro is a film based on the life of Leonard Bernstein, a renowned composer. The film is written, directed, and starred by Bradley Cooper as Bernstein. The movie follows Bernstein’s journey from 1946, when he fell in love with Felicia Montealegre, to his two marriages and three kids. The film also features Maya Hawke, Carey Mulligan, Sarah Silverman, and Matt Bomer as co-stars.

This movie marks the first straight biopic of the life of Bob Marley. It is based on a specific period in the 60s when the famous musician changed his tune (literally) and started using electric guitars on his songs, instead of a more traditional folk style. Timothee Chalamet will be the one to play the Nobel Prize winning singer and lyricist.
