

The August EZ houses a designer who has explored various design spectrums and mastered them all over the years. Be it architecture, interior or bespoke furniture, Rooshad Shroff’s artistry speaks intimately with each of his projects, reflecting his ideology of working and championing local artisans. Gallerist Rajiv Menon debuts at the City Palace at the Jaipur Centre of the Arts where he brings artists from different diasporas who are blurring boundaries. We connected with him to know more about his curatorial process and Non-Residency, the show scheduled this month. Chef Thomas Zacharias founded The Locavore, a platform that combines food, storytelling, and impact with a simple ethos – ‘Doing Good Through Food’. To search answers for his various questions, Chef started collaborating with farmers, communities, researchers, home cooks, and eaters to explore how food connects us to the world we live in and more importantly, to each other. Our cover celebrates man’s best friend. Rain Dogs, a Covid project that breathes life into Goan dogs and gives hope and freedom to not only the dogs, but the viewer as well. Rohit Chawla’s poignant and quietly beautiful images form the heart of a book that moves beyond just visual storytelling; the layered poetry, reflections, and musings deepen its impact. The proceeds from the book go toward supporting stray dogs, giving it a purpose as meaningful as its pages.
