Ekaya's Spring Summer 23 collection refines and redefines the house codes of craft, innovation and novelty. Underscoring freewheeling suppleness and rekindling the magic of heritage Petit point embroidery, each ensemble packs a vibrant punch. This season, Ekaya's atelier trains focus on the dexterously executed Petit point embroidery (a derivative of cross-stitch embroidery technique, but even finer), which can be traced back to 17th and 18th century France. Imbued with whimsy, sentiment and romance, this collection brings into play a luscious palette of azure blue, powder pink, ivory, cream and buttercup yellow. An artistic accumulation and exchange of the Petit Point embroidery is mixed with stripes, gingham and polka dots that tricks the eye.

Ekaya's signature craft techniques of kadhwa, cutwork, and multi meena create a tactile, trompe l’oeil collage of pixelated florals, grids, geometric motifs blurring the line between reality and fantasy. Lightness abounds with a panoply of form-flattering lehengas, which take singular accents with woven panels and sharp chevron stripes emoting a sense of languid ease. With Ekaya's eye for the tasteful sense of balance, saris come woven with Kadhwa jaal and multi-hued blooms after dextrous hand work (taking as many as 220 hours). The tissue scallop border saris come styled with stripe embossed blouses inspiring visions of a dewy springtime in the woods. Empowering, wearable and timeless, each ensemble underscores Ekaya's characteristic artsy femininity and its unquestioning dedication to the revival of heritage crafts.

Evoking the freshness of Spring, representing self awareness and vibrating with happiness, each ensemble whisks one away to a universe of joyous moments. Crafting everyday comfort, Ekaya Spring Summer 23 is a testament to its flair for striking a balance between romantic flamboyance and supple refinement .
