Zubaan is a leading independent publishing house based in New Delhi with a strong academic and general list. It was set up in 2003 as an imprint of India’s first feminist publishing house, Kali for Women, and continues to publish books on, for, by and about women in South Asia.

Seagull Books
Seagull Books publishes world literature in English translation, serious non-fiction, culture studies, performance studies, art and cinema, with attention to exquisite design and world-class production. It was founded by Naveen Kishore in 1982 as an independent Indian publishing house specializing in serious books on art, theatre and cinema.
Yoda Press
Founded in 2004 with an alternative publishing vision, Yoda Press aims to create lists around subjects which are not usually a priority for other publishers in India, even though they have a critical presence in contemporary discourse, authorship and an audience. Niyogi Books, based out of New Delhi, India, has established itself as one the leading publishers of illustrated books, as well as created a niche for itself in translations, fiction and serious non-fiction. Reliable Copy is based in Bangalore, India, and was founded in 2018.

Offset Press is a part of Offset Projects, a travelling pitara of photography, books and book-making. In 2018, artist Anshika Varma founded Offset Projects out of New Delhi, India to explore the various engagements and sociological impact of receiving the world through creative expressions in visual language.
