Vanishing Point

Vanishing Point by Graine

In its latest collection, titled Vanishing Point, Graine invites us into a space where a single line can become a universe, where sketches transform into silhouettes and the gestures of the hand evolve into bold, wearable compositions. This is a collection born from the quiet rhythm of repetition: drawing, erasing, redrawing. It is in this slow, almost meditative dance between clarity and abstraction that the season takes shape.

At its heart lies contrast, carbon above, clarity below. Pieces explore the tension between weight and air, as well as structure and softness. Sculptural leotards cast in molten metal textures are paired with delicate chikankari-embroidered denim Farshi pants, while jackets and dresses are adorned with rubber and bone embellishments, each one cut and placed by hand using repurposed rickshaw tyre tubes.

Vanishing Point

'This season is as much about restraint as it is about release. As the hand meets the eye, the material becomes narrative. Through shadow and sharpness, through linework and labor, Vanishing Point emerges as a portrait not of the body, but of becoming.'

This feels like Graine’s study in transformation.

'Graine is the intangible spirit that gives each of us form and character. At the studio, we repurpose discarded rubber tyres and reimagine traditional crafts like badla and bakhiya into contemporary motifs. Structured silhouettes, thoughtful textures and playful compositions form the foundation of the Graine philosophy.'

Graine is a collaboration of mind and heart, co-founded by the sister twin. The former link, Harshna Kandhari, is the intuitive visionary behind Graine with a master’s degree in finance, while the latter, Mannat Sethi is the impressionable heart of GRAINE with a history of art and a formal degree in design from NIFT Delhi.
The girls behind Graine, have always believed in creating timeless pieces rather than strictly following fashion norms and seasonal trends. Their focus has always been on designing clothes that resonate with their core values of purpose and responsibility ensuring each garment has a lasting impact. Traditonal techniques are married with modern aesthetics to create a last impact.
